Many clients have openly informed us when they have received a COVID19 vaccination. Unfortunately, having received the vaccine does not mean we can waive the mask requirement or skip the pre-screening before each appointment. The vaccination primarily protects the recipient, who can still spread the virus. Until the state lifts the mask mandate, masks must be properly worn, covering the mouth & nose, at all times within our facility. Why are we so adamant about this? We have partnered with the Cape Wellness Collaborative (CWC) to provide massage therapy services to people actively receiving treatment for cancer. These clients may not yet be eligible to receive the vaccine due to potential interactions with their treatments; their doctor will determine when & if that is safe for them. By adhering strictly to our protocols, we can protect our most medically vulnerable clients. If you or someone you know is fighting cancer, we encourage you to reach out to CWC to see how this local non-profit can help. Staff Vaccinations We have pre-registered for our vaccinations but have not yet become eligible to schedule our appointments. Due to the challenges associated with scheduling these vaccinations in advance, we may have to reschedule client appointments. To allow our staff time to recover from any initial side effects, we plan to take 24 hours off after the first shot and 48 hours off after the second shot. We will block this time off as soon as we get confirmed appointments and shift client appointments around as little as necessary. It is unlikely our vaccination appointments will be done on the same day, so we should still have one therapist available for appointments. Summer Tourists & Seasonal Residents Warm weather has arrived and we expect vacationers to begin requesting appointments. We have no plans to actively market to tourists however, we will accept appointments from seasonal residents or people that have met the current MA state travel advisory requirements and pass our pre-screening. This means non-resident clients must have passed a negative test or quarantined for 10 days upon arrival to MA, or be fully vaccinated. OM Team Membership Many clients have taken advantage of our monthly program, the most cost effective option we offer for regular massages. Due to the limited amount of appointments, we will only accept up to 80 members to avoid overextending our staff. This includes both active and paused members who plan to return once the pandemic has passed. We have a few memberships remaining but the cap will be enforced once we reach that maximum. We're Hiring! We are actively seeking a full time massage therapist and have ads posted on several different job sites as well as on our website. If you know someone looking for year round employment, please send them our way. As soon as we find a good candidate, we will happily introduce you to our new team member.
