Massage Services
Swedish Massage
First developed in the 18th century, Swedish massage is probably the most well-known modality in Western culture. The main purpose of a Swedish massage is to increase the blood flow in the muscles promoting the release of harmful toxins. Primarily designed to relax and rejuvenate the muscles, Swedish massage also stimulates the nervous system which helps to reduce stress. Available for 60-min or 90-min. |
Pregnancy Massage
A side-lying massage technique adapted to suit the mother-to-be's changing body. Pregnancy massage promotes relaxation, soothes nerves, and relieves strained back and leg muscles in expectant mothers. It is especially beneficial during the second and third trimesters, when the extra weight in your belly puts a strain on your back. Available for 60-min only. |
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage uses smooth, heated basalt stones to enhance the massage, allowing for deeper penetration into muscles. Basalt stones are black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. The heat is both deeply relaxing and helps tight muscles release. Stones are heated in 120-150 degree water. Speak up if the stones are too warm or the pressure too intense. Book with Hot Stone Add-on. Please do not book this service at 9am; it will not allow enough time for the stones to heat up. |
Aromatherapy Massage
Enhance the experience by adding essential oils to a massage. Each oil has different healing properties, allowing the client choose a blend that supports their bodywork goals. Book with Essential Oil Add-on. |
Reflexology
Reflexology is used to relieve tension and treat illness, based on the theory that there are reflex points on the feet, hands, and head linked to every part of the body. The hands and feet are like condensed maps of the rest of the body; the head, torso, organs, legs and arms are all directly connected to specific areas of the hands and feet. By applying pressure to the areas which correspond to each other, other parts of the body are affected.
Reflexology is not a massage; but rather thumb and finger walking, pressing and holding to affect positive changes in the body. By stimulating the nervous system, it supports each system to provide balance within the body. Ultimately, reflexology allows the body to heal itself.
