Yoga Therapy

Not a typical yoga class, these classes are designed to help with the recovery process after injury or surgery. Once a certain level of wellness is attained, students interested in continuing their yoga practice should move on to traditional classes offered such as those offered by Power Yoga of Cape Cod.

Classes are kept small to allow instructors to provide individualized modifications to each pose, allowing students to choose their own level of difficulty.

Students should bring a mat and a water bottle. All other props will be provided.

Drop-in Rate: $25

4 Classes (1x week) : $88 ($22 each)

8 Classes (2x week) : $160 ($20 each)

12 Classes (3x week) : $216 ($18 each)

Yoga Biomedical Trust (England) Robin Monro, Ph.D.

Yoga therapy is the adaptation of yoga practices for people with health challenges. Yoga therapists prescribe specific regimens of postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques to suit individual needs. Medical research shows that Yoga therapy is among the most effective complementary therapies for several common aliments. The challenges may be an illness, a temporary condition like pregnancy or childbirth, or a chronic condition associated with old age or infirmity.

Samata Yoga Center
