How to Fold Fitted Sheets

Folding fitted sheets can be a bit tricky due to their elastic corners, but with some practice, you can master the technique. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to fold fitted sheets neatly:

1. Prepare a Flat Surface: Find a large, flat surface, such as a bed, table, or floor, to spread out the sheet.
   
2. Hold the Sheet: Hold the sheet lengthwise with the elastic edges facing you. Place your hands inside two adjacent corners, one in each hand.
   
3. Tuck the Corners: Bring your right hand to your left hand, tucking the corner inside, and then repeat with the left hand to the right hand. Now you have two corners of the fitted sheet tucked inside each other.
   
4. Straighten the Sheet: Lay the fitted sheet on the flat surface, arranging the edges and corners so that it forms a rectangle.
   
5. Fold in Half: Fold the fitted sheet in half vertically, bringing one long side over to meet the other. Tuck the top corners inside the bottom corners to keep everything secure.
   
6. Fold in Thirds: Fold the fitted sheet in half horizontally, bringing one short side over to meet the other. Now you have a smaller rectangle.
   
7. Continue Folding: If the fitted sheet is still large, you can continue folding in halves or thirds until it's the size you desire. The goal is to end up with a neat, folded rectangle.
   
8. Store the Sheet: Once folded, store the fitted sheet in a linen closet or drawer. You can also place it inside a pillowcase or a fabric pouch to keep it tidy and organized.
