Spring Update

​Mask Policy
After three years of frequent regulation changes, the CDC has removed all mask mandates. We will no longer require masks or proof of vaccination. Masks will remain available to staff and clients that choose to wear one. 

This does not change our sick policy for staff or clients. We will continue to screen clients as part of our confirmation calls to ensure no one comes in sick. Anyone who shows up with symptoms, staff or client, will be sent home.

GROW Program & Digital Grant
Pallas will wrap up participation in the GROW Program this month. She highly recommends the program for anyone considering running their own business or already in business. A lot of work behind the scenes got done and Oasis Massage is in a much better position for expansion. In addition to the mentoring, we have had several grant opportunities shared with us. We are in the application process for one of them now. Once approved, we'll share what we have planned!

Actively Hiring!
Melissa has unexpectedly chosen to pursue a different path. We wish her the best on her next adventure. We plan to hire another front desk person by May 1st; however, our primary hiring focus remains on finding the right massage therapist to join our team.

We have begun exploring student sponsorship, utilizing the Workforce Training Fund Program to offset tuition costs. This could potentially provide a long term solution but requires we find the right candidate to sponsor. 

Feedback Request
As we move forward with the tools from the GROW Program, we want to ensure we do not dismiss everything we have done in our first 18 years of business. Part of that is the value we place on client feedback, positive or negative. We have a few questions we'd love to hear your opinion on!
  • We know we offer therapeutic massage services. How would you describe the impact of those services? If you were referring a friend to us, how would you describe our business?
  • Inflation impacts all businesses. We need to adjust our rates to remain financially solvent. This year, we chose to have two small increases instead of one large increase in January (the second one is scheduled for June). From the client perspective, is one larger increase a better option than two smaller increases spaced out? This will not impact this year but how we adjust our rates in the future.
